Press and Feedback
Wanderlust is a story about stories, of ordinary and extraordinary tales and the journey, made by three women, to collect them. Setting off into rural Britain in the pursuit of the most exciting tale, they each found more than they were expecting. Wanderlust is an uplifting show about living in the moment that uses original live music, staggering projection and playful storytelling.
Following their five star show End to End about their unusual journey across Britain, The Gramophones received an enormous amount of heartfelt stories scribbled on the back of postcards. This inspired them to embark on a journey into rural communities to collect stories right from people’s doorsteps. Kristy travelled around on mobile libraries, somewhat nervously, unable to find her voice, Hannah hijacked passersby in libraries, and Ria spent time in residential homes, often meeting people who could no longer remember.
